Utilization
The Frequency/Channel
chart is an indication of WAM member radio channel as posted on their membership
form. The chart is only a representation of the channel usage and not 100%
correct. This is due to the lack of a few members who are either new and still
did not purchase a radio or others who do not feel their input is important
enough, therefore, do not list their radio channels.
If you will notice,
Channels 22, 24, 36, 40, 44, 46, 48, 50, and 52 are fairly populated. Thursday
evening, there were three (3) pilots that were on channel 50. Some pilots
required flight instruction. That night, the instructors were unable to provide
more stick time for each pilot due to the channel conflict.
So the next time you’re
thinking about buying a new radio it would be wise to reference this chart.
